Prior to setting up The Bubbly Wine Company, company owner Alison Calder spent 15 year working in various roles in the UK On-Trade and Wine Industry. This includes training as a Sommelier with Malmaison Hotels, working in a management position for a Michelin Star restaurant and then focussing her career in the Wine Industry working for both international and UK based wine companies. Alison is qualified to WSET Diploma level as well as holding a Masters Degree in International Hospitality Management and a WSET Educators qualification.
Alison’s role as a “Wine Development Specialist” saw her holding staff training sessions and customer facing events for restaurants, hotels and bars alongside creating and re-vamping wine lists in order to fully encourage customers to enjoy and experiment with their wine selections. Alison now regularly holds tasting events for members of the general public and would love to provide this service for your business, alongside training your staff.
Alison can also offer unbiased guidance and advice on all aspects of your wine list, such as range, layout and margins. The Bubbly Wine Company does not wholesale wine, therefore you can rest assured that our advice is completely unbiased and based only upon what is best for your business.
