This is a funny one because we know our customers will either be team Chardonnay or team Sauvignon Blanc. Not many people like both (although I do) so to blending them together seems like an unusual concept.
The blend of these 2 classic grapes actually works really well. The vibrant fruit of the Sauvignon is complimented by the softer mouthfeel of the Chardonnay, similarly to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, as blending partners it is like they were meant to be together. There is more to this wine than that thought, a process of winemaking takes place where the juice comes into contact with a little oxygen, giving it a really savoury, nutty character while 70% of the wine is fermented in new French oak. It reminds us almost of the classic style of White Rioja, it is certainly unique and if you like an older style of white wine then we think you would love this. A perfect match to truffle risotto or seafood paella.
