Description
Produced from the oldest, low-yielding Bobal vines in Utiel Requena, from a high rugged plateau, nearly 1,000 metres above sea level just inland from Valencia. The combination of hot, dry summers, cold nights and poor limestone soil make the area relatively free of vine diseases and so ideal for organic farming and although the wine is not certified organic, the producer is dedicated to organic production.
An open, warm and toasty nose with blackberry, raspberry and savoury notes. The palate has lots of dark fruit and well-balanced toasty oak along with fine tannins and a generous finish. A rustic wine perfect for casseroles and rich stews.
